Employment Law Update seminars

What does this course achieve?

The purpose of the seminars is to communicate and engage with participants on the latest developments in employment law in South Africa. The seminars are conducted over a morning in an informal and participative manner. The seminars are a joint Bowmans / Conflict Dynamics initiative and are held on a public basis at the Bowmans offices in Sandton, as well as on an in-house basis at clients' offices.

Course outline

These half-day seminars are directed at Human Resources and Industrial Relations Practitioners, employment lawyers and in-house counsel. They have been presented successfully for over 25 years. The 2017 seminars will take place on:

  • 28 July 2017

  • 17 November 2017

The purpose of the seminars is to communicate and engage with participants on the latest developments in employment law in South Africa. The seminars are conducted in an informal and participative manner.

Each seminar typically cover the latest court and arbitration decisions that have an impact on employment law, and any recent or anticipated legislative developments.

Participants are given opportunities, through questions and discussions, to understand and keep up to date with the dynamic changes that occur continuously in employment law in South Africa. The focus is on the practical implications of these changes for employers and employees.

The seminars are conducted by Graham Damant and other members of Bowmans Employment Law Department. In addition, special guest speakers are invited from time to time to make specialist contributions to the seminars. The seminars are held on a public basis at the Bowmans offices in Sandton, as well as on an in-house basis at clients' offices.
