Justine Del Monte

Professional background and experience:

Justine holds a BLC (Cum Laude) and LLB (Cum Laude) from Pretoria University and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2002. She has specialised in labour law in excess of 20 years and advises employers, employees and trade unions on all aspects in this field of law. Justine has been a member of the Western Cape Chapter of the South African Society for Labour Law since her admission into practice and has served as a committee member of the Western Cape Chapter.    

Justine is a Conflict Dynamics and Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (UK) accredited commercial mediator having completed her training in December 2022. She is passionate about the benefits of appropriate dispute resolution and the positive outcomes it can create for all parties involved. 

Mediation experience and style:

Justine has vast experience in conflict and dispute resolution and has participated in many informal and

formal mediation processes. Her preferred style of mediation is facilitative. However, in employment related disputes she is open to engaging in evaluative mediation should both parties request it.

Chairing enquiries and investigations experience:

As a labour law practitioner Justine has experience in chairing disciplinary hearings, facilitating workplace grievances and conducting investigations. Her holistic approach to labour law, combined with her mediation skills, allows her to offer practical and effective solutions for complex workplace disputes.
