Professional background and experience: Zeenat Rajah Hoosen has a BComm degree in Information Systems from the University of the Witwatersrand and a BSc Honours in Labour Relations and Information Systems from UNISA. She also has a certificate in the Development Programme in Labour Relations (DPLR) from UNISA School of Business Leadership. Zeenat has been a dispute resolution panellist since June 2000 on various arbitration, mediation, disciplinary hearings, facilitation and relationship building (RBO) panels including the Independent Mediation Service of South Africa (IMSSA) and TOKISO. She completed the Resolve Train the Trainer Course as well as the Commercial Mediation Course with CEDR Solve and the Family Mediation Course through FAMSA. She was a part-time Commissioner at the CCMA and served on various bargaining councils. |
Zeenat was previously an Academic Assistant at UNISA Graduate School of Business Leadership, Systems Trainer and Implementer, and Project Manager at Praxis Computing. Mediation experience and style: Zeenat mainly uses a facilitative mediation style. However, her experience in the CCMA and Bargaining Council conciliations allows her to combine her facilitative mediation style with an evaluative style. Zeenat has done various community and school committee mediations informally over the last five years. Chairing enquiries and investigations experience: Zeenat was trained by IMSSA and AMSSA and was a part-time CCMA commissioner and served on a few Bargaining Councils. She also completed the RESOLVE train the trainer program.
