Mohamed Reda

Professional background and experience:

Mohamed is a qualified lawyer with extensive experience in commercial, business finance and construction related disputes. He is an accredited commercial mediator with both the Centre for Effective Dispute resolution (CEDR, UK) and Conflict Dynamics. He is also an accredited family mediator with the For the Children’s Sake organization, which conducts court-annexed mediations in the Cape Town Magistrates Courts. To date, Mohamed has mediated approximately 70 cases, many of which have been complex multi-dimensional and multi-party cases, including family disputes involving financial, business, property and estate related matters. Mohamed is thoughtful and discerning when integrating business, emotional, psychological and religious needs of his clients in their mediation cases. 

He is particularly considerate in matters involving children, which require tactful communication. He is respectful of cultural differences and easily relates to people from all walks of life.

Mediation experience and style:

A passionate advocate of mediation, Mohamed helps parties avoid adversarial litigation, and to seek consensus-based outcomes through mediation. Mohamed generally uses a facilitative approach, and an evaluative one when needed. During a mediation, he delves into and focuses on the comprehensive underlying needs of the parties, in order to help them secure their mediation demands.
