We are honoured that Deputy Judge President Dunstan Mlambo will deliver the keynote address: The Past and Future of Mediation in South Africa.

To enrich the discussion, we have invited a distinguished group of respondents to engage with this theme from a range of perspectives:

• Professor Debbie Collier, Project Leader of the South African Law Reform Commission’s Mediation Act project, on the proposed Mediation Act
• Advocate Hendrik Kotze, Board Consultant to ADRP-SA, on the professionalisation of mediators
• Lusanda Raphulu, Head of Dispute Resolution at Bowmans, on the response of the legal profession
• Tony Allen, long-standing mediator and commentator on law and mediation in the United Kingdom
• Susanne Schuler, CEDR Director of Global Development, on international standards and best practice

The panel discussion will be followed by drinks, light refreshments and networking.
