Nomonde is a Director of Conflict Dynamics and a coach and assessor on the Conflict Dynamics mediator skills training course. She has conducted coaching and training workshops for conciliators and mediators in an insurance company to augment the skills of the company’s mediators who mediate disputes that arise from claims from their clients. She was also engaged as a member of the training panel of the South African Medico-Legal Association (SAMLA) in partnership with the University of Cape Town to offer training on mediation practice to various professionals from both private and public sectors who deal with disputes involving personal injuries and medical negligence against health professionals.
Nomonde is a trained social worker specialising in community development and organisation, involving social facilitation and negotiation. At master's degree level, Nomonde studied conflict and its management, included in these studies was an advanced skills training course on conflict resolution involving mediation and negotiation. Nomonde is trained and accredited by Conflict Dynamics, CEDR, and NABFAM to mediate commercial; workplace; personal injury and medical negligence; family and divorce, and workplace disputes. Nomonde has mediated several community disputes in various parts of the former Transkei and in a mining community in the Northwest Province under the auspices of the Ombudsman’s Office of the World Bank. She has mediated workplace disputes mainly in the public service for more than twenty years. She has also mediated commercial disputes referred by the Office of the Consumer Protector as a panellist of Equillore Dispute Resolution Agency. Nomonde has conciliated disputes emanating from community schemes under the auspices of the Community Schemes Ombud Service (CSOS).
Nomonde is able to conduct training in English, Zulu, and Xhosa.
